The situation

A good invitation should feel like one.

The wedding of someone you love. The benefit your firm took a table for. The awards dinner where everyone already seems to know each other. These are lovely things to be asked to, and arriving at them by yourself asks something of you that the evening never intended to.

None of which is about a missing relationship. It is about walking in beside someone prepared, considerate and genuinely easy to be near — so that the evening gets to be what it was always meant to be, and you get to enjoy it.

All occasions

The process

Ask, meet, prepare, enjoy it.

Nothing is booked instantly, and nothing is paid until both of us feel the occasion is right.
  1. 01

    Request a private introduction

Leave your name and email. You will receive a link that opens the full profile — photographs, credentials, background and approach. There is no payment and no obligation at this stage, and your address is not added to any mailing list.

  2. 02

    Tell us about the occasion

A short form: the date, the city, the kind of event, and a few sentences on what would make the evening go well. Nothing more is asked until an engagement is actually accepted.

  3. 03

Speak first, if you would like to

A short video call, entirely up to you. Some people want to hear a voice before going further; others would rather not add a step. If you do take it, it is one call and it covers everything — the occasion, the people, anything you would rather ask than type. It is a conversation, not an interview, and either of us may decide it is not the right fit without needing to explain why.

  4. 04

Reserve the date, and prepare properly

You pay half to hold the date — there is nothing to sign, and the other half is charged on the morning of the event so nothing is left hanging afterwards. Then the preparation: names, relationships, pronunciations, the schedule, the attire, the arrival, the departure. All of it agreed with you before the evening rather than during it.

The full process

The understanding

Nothing left for you to wonder about.

This is company for an evening — never romantic, never sexual, and not a dating service. Saying that plainly, here, means neither of you has to raise it later. Which is really the point of saying it at all.

Either of you can end an engagement on the spot if it is ever tested, without owing the other an explanation. That is what lets both of you relax and enjoy the evening.

The founder

Provided personally. Every time.

Black-tie tailoring, close detail

Plus One, Properly is personally provided by a New York attorney and entrepreneur who founded The Legacy Foundation in 2006 and continues to serve as its chairman. His complete profile is shared privately following email verification.

There is no roster here and no substitution. He performs every accepted engagement himself, alongside a law practice and the Foundation he chairs — which is the honest reason only a few engagements are possible each month.

Purpose

Purpose, built into every engagement.

Plus One, Properly is a founder-led service operated by The Legacy Foundation. Every stated professional service fee is paid directly to and recorded as revenue by the Foundation. He receives no compensation for these engagements.

The Foundation treats the professional fee as payment for services and will not issue a charitable-contribution acknowledgment for that fee. Individual tax treatment may vary; consult your tax adviser.

Professional fees

Stated plainly.

Founder-led New York engagements begin at $1,500.

Weddings, extended occasions and destination engagements are quoted according to duration and logistics. All professional fees are paid directly to The Legacy Foundation. Third-party expenses are separate.

One hundred percent of each stated professional service fee is paid directly to and recorded as revenue by The Legacy Foundation. As with any Foundation activity, ordinary payment-processing and operating costs may be paid from Foundation funds. This does not mean every dollar goes directly to programs, and it excludes taxes, refunds and third-party expenses.

Begin with a private introduction.

No payment. No obligation. A brief, verified introduction to determine whether the occasion and the service are the right fit.
