The founder

Anthony Clemenza

A New York attorney and entrepreneur who founded The Legacy Foundation in 2006 and continues to serve as its chairman.

“Will you come with me?”

“Please come with me. I don’t want to go alone.” Friends would ask me to join them at weddings, work events, dinners and happy hours. They wanted to be there, and having someone they knew and trusted beside them made the evening more enjoyable.

After enough of those evenings, I realized there was a need for that kind of company: someone easy to talk to, at ease in the room and happy to be there with you. I wanted to make it easier to find, with trust and clear expectations from the start.

I also saw a way to support a charity I love: The Legacy Foundation, which I founded and whose work I believe in. Plus One, Properly brings those two things together. I personally accompany every accepted engagement, and every professional fee is paid directly to the Foundation. I take no compensation for these engagements.

A little about me

Curious about the world. Comfortable with people.

I’m curious by nature. I love travel, good conversation and discovering something new—whether it’s a place, a book or an idea. My work and travels have brought me into many different rooms, and I enjoy getting to know the people in them.

At an event, that means being easy to talk to, taking a real interest in the people around us and knowing when to join a conversation or simply listen. I want you to feel comfortable with me and enjoy the evening.

Preparation

The details are agreed before the evening.

Preparation covers the people who matter, pronunciations, relationships in the room, the schedule, arrival and departure, and anything you would prefer to leave out of conversation. The introduction is truthful and requires no fabricated history.

A short video conversation is optional before you decide whether to proceed. Requests are considered individually for availability, event legitimacy and service fit. The current primary service region is the New York metropolitan area; hosted destination requests require individual review.

The understanding

Always platonic. No romance, and absolutely never any physical intimacy. Just good company for the occasion.

Plus One, Properly provides social-companionship and event-accompaniment services only. Anthony Clemenza does not provide legal services or legal advice through this initiative. No attorney-client relationship, attorney-client privilege or other protections associated with legal representation are created.

One hundred percent of each stated professional service fee is paid directly to and recorded as revenue by The Legacy Foundation. As with any Foundation activity, ordinary payment-processing and operating costs may be paid from Foundation funds. This does not mean every dollar goes directly to programs, and it excludes taxes, refunds and third-party expenses.
